Instructions to make Fish tadka:
  1. Pre soak the dal overnite. Now boil it in a pressure cooker. Keep it aside. Retain the stock. Now take the fish.   2. In the same pan add the onion paste saute it till pink. Then add the ginger and garlic paste. Again saute it. Then add the finely chopped tomatoes. Fry it add very little salt so that the tomatoes melts. Now add turmeric and red Chile powder. Dhaniya and jeera powder and tadka masala. Mix all the masala well. Now add half of the fish. Let it cook with the masala.
  3. Now when the masala leaves oil add the boiled dal. Mix it well. Add the reserved stock and water if needed. When it comes to boil add salt and the kasuri methi. Cover and let it cook for 10-12 min. When oil starts floating. Add the garam masala. Put off the gas and put the fresh cream.
  4. Now in a pan add ghee, then add the whole jeera, dried red Chile, and the remaining fish. Also add the slit green chiles. Now saute it for 5 min. Then pour it over the tadka.ready to serve.
  5. Please note that for the fish either boneless fish or fish with less or one bone only so that the bones can be easily removed.
